Position: Concrete Saw Operator Reports to: Foreman Salary: DOE POSTING DATE: June 20, 2007 CLOSING DATE: till filled Concrete Saw Operator NATURE OF WORK The Concrete Saw Operator will be responsible for operating a Concrete Saw to meet contractual requirements. This job requires the ability to read and decipher maps and/or charts for laying cable while avoiding utility lines and underground hazards. The individual will be expected to operate installation equipment including concrete slab saw, and trenching equipment to allow insertion of cabling systems. ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS · Reading and deciphering of maps and/or charts for the laying of fiber optic cable while avoiding utility lines and underground hazards · Insertion of products and related fiber optic equipment below the surface using concrete slab saw or equivalent equipment · Travel is required (perdiem reimbursed expenses) KNOWLEDGES, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS · Knowledge of state / local requirements for installation of subsurface utility lines · 3-5 years of commercial construction experience · 3-5 years experience operating concrete slab saw · 2-3 years of excavation and /or utility installation · CDL desired · Must pass background check and drug testing Please fill out an application using Microsoft Word Once you have completed your application please click the submit resume button below and attach your application along with a copy of your resume.
